Sometimes we are in danger of putting our trust in our human friends rather than in the divine Friend. God comes to us still in human forms. He reveals his sympathy and love through human hearts. He speaks to us through human lips. He guides us by human hands. But if the human be all we get, if we do not learn to cling to God, and lean upon the divine arm beneath the human arm, and look to God for the blessings we want, dark for us will be the hour when the human falls away and we are left alone in the darkness. Wherever, in whatever form and by whomsoever you are led first to know God, be sure that it is God you know and trust.
